Christchurch Report December - February 2026

Carolyn Currie and Vicki Mangen

It's been a busy time for Canterbury members and reps. The second Otautahi Print Fair was held Saturday, 25th October at the Christchurch Art Gallery. A huge thanks to those members from far and wide who sent work for the PCANZ table. There was a lot of interest thanks to such a range of great work. Over the day, there were demonstrations and talks, including one by member Fiona van Oyen. Many of our local members also had tables, and huge thanks to Paulo Wellman and Kim Lowe who created such a successful event.

Another event we are involved with is the PCANZ exhibition at Ashburton art gallery 14th Dec to 22nd Feb. 'Contemporary Printmaking of Aorearoa: A korero of thoughts and ideas'

Opening is on 13th December with members welcome.

We have also been working with the committee planning the upcoming Summer School, which we are very excited to have in Christchurch in January. Carolyn and I are hoping we can make a group trip to the Ashburton gallery on the Wednesday of that week.
