10 by 10 by 10 Print Exchange 2025

Participants will create and submit 10 prints of 10 cm by 10 cm size centred on 14 cm by 14 cm paper. These can be printed as an edition or as 10 unique prints. In exchange, each participant will receive 10 different prints from 10 members across Aotearoa. The prints will also be shown on the PCANZ website in a virtual exhibition.

A selected exhibition open to all PCANZ members in recognition of Ruth Davey and her importance in Aotearoa New Zealand regional art. The exhibition is of prints inspired by Ruth’s work. Print Council Aotearoa New Zealand selected member exhibition open to all members.

Opening: Saturday 13 December at 6pm.

Print Rebound Project 2024

A collaborative printmaking exercise encouraging PCANZ members to make contacts with other printmakers and to explore the unusual psychological terrain of working into another person’s artwork while also letting go of any territorial habits and giving another person free rein to interpret the work submitted. ABC Bestiary Book Collaborative Project 2022

A bestiary (from bestiarum vocabulum) is a compendium of beasts, often refering to any collection of descriptions of animals, whether in words or images. Each participant in this project will randomly be given a letter from A to Z by an area coordinator, from which to create a design. The design will be printed by each participant, then will be later collated into a book.

Postcards from North & South 2021 - Exhibitions

Postcards from North & South is a three way exhibition with PressNorth in Townsville and Firestation Printmaking Studio in Armidale.  

Print Council members were invited to submit four postcards to take part in this exhibition.

The exhibition was hosted at two Australian and three New Zealand venues from 16 July to 12 December 2021.

Summer School 2021 - Workshops

PCANZ Summer School 2021 from Monday 11th January – Friday 15th January was held at EIT, Hawkes Bay. This was one of PCANZ’s largest summer schools with approximately 70 Print Council members and tutors attending from throughout New Zealand. There were two 2-day workshops and two 4-day workshops. Due to demand an extra waterless lithography course was run at The Learning Connexion in Wellington.
