Dunedin Report June - august2026

Lynn Taylor

Lynn Taylor strives to make prints that can be touched and held in the hand rather than behind a frame. With this in mind she is teaching a printmaking and collage workshop at the WEA Southerly Arts School, Kings Birthday Weekend, in Invercargill. Under the theme of ‘home’, papers of different weights will be printed, then cut and ripped to collage small 3-dimensional houses. Lynn finds this process as a looped circuit, with materials and hands informing the head. 'Mistakes', due to working on different facets and between dimensions arise in an uncomfortable manner (as they do), however finding solutions is particularly rewarding and can create results preferable to the original. Aspects of this workshop will also be held at Lysnar House, Gisborne, 14th June as part of their celebrations.
