Hawkes Bay Report december - february 2026

As usual, we have been a pretty active group of inkers.

JUNE: we had our Annual exhibition, we introduced a theme for the first time

“Vessels” and encouraged our members to think outside the square with 3D work as

well as the more traditional hung works.

It was a highly successful exhibition with everyone enjoying the fresh approach.

JULY: Marci Tackett tutored a fun and inspirational weekend workshop of mono

screen-printing. We also had one of our members Maria Melino lead an experimental charcoal and graphite

on gel plate print session which was enjoyed by all.

AUGUST ONWARDS: In collaboration with the Keirunga Book Artists and Inkers, a total of 25 people have been working on a recipe book, each group enjoying the new challenges. The pages will be handed out at our end of year Christmas function along with a sample plate of the recipe.

OCTOBER: Hawkes Bay Inkers had their POP-UP exhibition which is hosted by

Lynne and Alan Wilburn in Ahuriri each year, Many thanks for their hard work in

supplying the perfect venue for this event.

The members who participated in the 10x10 print project were excited to receive their parcel of prints. Congratulations to those involved in the organization, a great effort.
