Marlborough/Nelson Report march-may 2026

Helen Harrison, Liz Downey, Emily Lake

TOTS for Top Of The South. A great acronym. For we are all learning and discovering together. It was so good to be there with friends on Sunday. To feel their support and caring, share laughter, Judith’s beetroot cake, homemade sheep cheese, red and yellow tomatoes and from Liz a plate full of juicy black grapes. And coffee of course. What a great bunch of ladies. Along with old friends a few new players spurred on by workshops with Renee Hadlow in her Armarie Room studio at Founders Park. There is Bev Head inspiring residents at Summerset Richmond Ranges, sharing her wealth of knowledge and giving a sense of purpose, something new to try to a lucky group of six with a waiting list to join. Kathy Reilly, Emily Lake, Lisa Chandler all having exhibitions of their work as the rest of us stand back and admire. Liz Downey printing on clay so clever and the inspirational glue keeping the group together.

Our next meeting Saturday, 28 March in the NMIT print room with a book(let) binding demonstration by Jenny Laycock in the pipeline.

A lot of noise on the TOTS WhatsApp this morning about a theme for the upcoming book(let) demo. What about “Friendship”
