Whanganui/Palmerston North REport JUNE - August 2026

Julia Ellery and Rachel Stockley

Several new members have joined our group and attendance at our monthly meetings is on the rise.
Over the last 3 months we have covered eco printing, revisited photo litho transfers, explored layering and chine collé.

The Hawkes Bay Inkers have invited members of our group to be part of their up coming ‘Wetlands’ exhibition so we have been focused on working towards this. The monthly get-togethers have been instrumental along the way for problem solving and sharing of ideas.

With the focus on the Wetlands exhibition, we have only had one monthly challenge so far – a black and orange print challenge that proved a popular colour choice with the group. Our next is to make a print of either our favourite fairytale or nursery rhyme.

Brent Harris, whose exhibition is currently running at Te Manawa, is running a Monotype workshop at the end of May and several of us will be attending this.
