Member project: the one thing I would change

The one thing I would change — PCANZ Member Project summer 2026

Facilitator: Nicki Frances

Duration of project: 1 Feb to 31 May 2026

What's the ONE thing you would change? That's the theme of this year's PCANZ member project.

Concept

It's another print exchange! You'll create and submit six prints on A4. The prints can be as big or small as you want within this A4 area. They can be printed as an edition or as six unique prints.

The prints can be on a good-quality paper, card or another medium like fabric, found materials, or OHP film. Whatever suits what you're creating.

In exchange, you’ll receive six different prints from six other members across Aotearoa. We’ll also exhibit copies of the prints on the PCANZ website in a virtual exhibition.

More about the theme

The theme for this exchange is: “The one thing I would change”.

The change that inspires your prints can be anything: serious or fun, big or small, possible or impossible. The change can be for you, your whānau, your community, for the whole world, or out of this world!

Timeline

You have from now until 31 May 2026 to produce and submit your prints.

What you’ll need to do

1. Let Nicki know you’d like to participate (email nxfrances@gmail.com or text 027 8911 338).

2. Produce six prints on A4 good-quality paper, card or other material.

3. Optional: add your name, print title (if it has one), and any editioning numbers on the front.

4. Include your region and the printing method on the back (and your name if it isn't on the front). You’re also welcome to add your social media IDs.

5. Mail the prints with a self-addressed bag/envelope with pre-paid postage to Nicki before 31 May 2026 (address provided below).

What happens next

Nicki will send the occasional email update to participants to answer any questions and to keep you all in the loop. After the deadline, you’ll receive six random prints from printmakers around the country.

We'll also scan one of your prints and include it in a virtual exhibition on the PCANZ website. We may share photos through PCANZ social media and the quarterly newsletter.

Cost

There’s no enrolment fee for participating. Each participant will cover the cost of their materials and postage.

If you're not already a PCANZ member, you'll need to join us first before participating in this project. Find out how to join and the benefits of being a PCANZ member
