Small Print Exhibition 2026
Small Print is an unselected, travelling exhibition of PCANZ members’ prints, which travels to galleries around Aotearoa raising awareness of printmaking and PCANZ.
Small Print is an introductory exhibition series of A4 prints and a great way of introducing members’ work to galleries.
There are at least 10 months of exhibitions, with new prints submitted each year.
The exhibition is seen by numerous visitors to galleries around the country and it is a great opportunity to showcase your very best work.

Since 2013, galleries have welcomed the opportunity to host the Small Print Exhibition, with numerous sales and effectively raising awareness of printmaking and PCANZ. It’s time now to get your prints ready for the new 2026-2027 series.
All Print Council members
It’s time to start work on your Small Prints (A4) for the 2026-2027 series.
All PCANZ members are invited to send four to six prints for this before the deadline in March. The prints must be A4 as they have to fit the cellophane bags used for hanging. Prints may be an edition or all different, it is up to you!
The deadline for prints to be received by the organisers is - 4 th April 2026.
The retail price for the Small Print 2026 prints will be $100. The price to the artist will vary, depending on the commission charged by a particular gallery.
The entry fee in 2026 is $40.00. PCANZ bank account: 03 0791 0387378 00 with Ref: Full name and SP2025.
The PCANZ Small Print 2026 colophon and all other relevant information pertaining to the exhibition can be downloaded below. Please include a printed copy of the completed colophon with your prints.
PCANZ takes no responsibility for lost or damaged work.
Requirements:
This is an unselected exhibition.
Paper: 250gsm or 300gsm good quality paper
Paper size: A4
Image size: No size limit, edge to edge allowed
Method of printmaking: Any, but no reproductions or photocopies
Number of entries: Up to 4-6 prints may be entered, either an edition or a variety. If your work sells, you are welcome to replace it with another work
Works will not be framed so clean edges only please. If there are fingerprints or dirty marks, the print won’t be hung.
We will be using a magnetic hanging system, which is sent to the galleries with the works.
