Two Kāpiti printmakers have been selected for the Imprint 2025: Contemporary NZ Printmakers Showcase at Square Edge in Palmerston North. Rosemary Mortimer and Hamish Macaulay both have work in the exhibition, along with 18 other printmakers from around the country. The show features 4 NZPPA finalists and an RE.
Participating artists are: Carrie Carey, Denise Durkin, Gabrielle Fawkner, Nicki Frances, Mark Graver RE, Peter Gunn (TePuu), Graham Hall, Simon Holmes, Josef Kieninger, Hamish Macaulay, Jolene Maciak, Rosemary Mortimer, Sarah Nightingale, Mark Alister Raymer, Gaby Reade, Kathy Reilly, Nicol Sanders-OShea, Kate Steiner, Patrick Tyman, Kirsty White
Workshops, Artists Talks and Demonstrations took place on Saturday 10 May prior to the official opening and prize giving ceremony.
Curated by Jen Wiggle & Hamish Macaulay, Imprint 2025 endeavours to showcase high quality printmaking across a range of techniques and styles. The selection of the final work has been crafted into an exhibition that considers different techniques and styles, as well as the merit of both individual works and collections. Hamish is busy working on a new body of work for his solo showcase at Eames Fine Art in London later this year. The new work will follow in the footsteps of last year's sold-out solo show at the gallery, again coinciding with the UK summer.
