Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand exhibition of 300mm x 300mm prints.

Venue: Community Arts Napier (CAN)

Dates: 27th October – 16th November 2023

Opening: Friday 27th October 5-7pm (to be confirmed)

This open, unselected exhibition is open to all members of the PCANZ and is a great opportunity to experiment. There is no set theme.

Criteria:

Size: 300 x 300mm. Your image can be any size within the 300mm x 300mm paper.

Paper: Paper choice is optional but must be good quality and suitable to hang unframed with magnets.

Number of Prints to submit: 1-2.

Note: You may send in up to two (2) works. These may be two (2) different works or two (2) works from an edition. Yes it can be a variable edition.

Techniques: Any printmaking techniques may be used but please no photographic reproductions

Retail price: Please add 30% on to your artist price to get your retail price.

Remember that this is not quite as straightforward as it seems. The gallery suggests:

A rough way to work out what to charge retail is to multiply the price you want e.g. $100, by 1.45 which gives $145 retail price.

Hanging: Works will be hung unframed, using magnets provided by PCANZ.

Submission deadline: The last date for acceptance for the exhibition will be

14th October 2023. Works may be sent at any time prior to that date.

Return of works: Please include a postage paid, addressed envelope for your work to be returned if it is not sold. Your work will be sent back in the same packaging that it was originally sent in. I have been sending my works out with a waterproof layer – the rain has been incessant here but that is up to you. You can send them in collectively if you wish to share costs. (Hawkes Bay and Taupo Printmakers are excluded from this as I can return these works through our local networks).
